I offer five hours per month of free consulting services, which are available primarily to organizations with annual budgets under $200,000 led by and for Black and Indigenous folks in Northern California. Pro bono services include:

Setting up systems to track and manage your finances

Providing training for staff in bookkeeping basics

Help with creating and understanding budgets & financial reports

Support for managing restricted grant funds

Workshops & coaching centered on financial empowerment

I prioritize Black- and Indigenous-led organizations for my pro bono work as these are the organizations most likely to be historically & locally denied access to financial resources. I believe that sustained lack of access to basic financial tools and training is one of the many interlocking injustices that make it difficult for mission- and community-based organizations to thrive and flourish, especially those run by and for Black and Indigenous communities, and I see my pro bono services as a small step towards reparations.
